ABOUT ME
Welcome to Janda Hockey Consulting and Video Coaching!

My name is Mike Janda and my passion is hockey. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, where my hockey journey started. I started playing hockey at a young age and played in Illinois through high school. Upon graduation, I went on to play 1 year in the NAHL and 2 years in the USHL with the Chicago Steel.
After the USHL, I was recruited to play NCAA Division 1 hockey at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. During my time at RIT, our team earned a trip to the NCAA Frozen Four in Detroit, MI, which was an unforgettable experience!

After college, I began coaching right away. I spent a year in the NAHL with the Springfield Jr. Blues as an assistant coach. I then moved to San Jose, CA and was the director of player development and advancement for 10 years. In this role, I coached 18AAA and 16AAA boys. My primary responsibility outside of coaching was to promote players to junior hockey. I also helped players find college opportunities while they were playing junior hockey.
